''Completion of the Second Edition of the "Virat Music and Film Awards"
Kathmandu (Correspondent): The second edition of the "Virat Music and Film Awards" has been successfully concluded. The event was held in Kathmandu and recognized artists from the Nepali music and film industries, with awards presented in over 25 categories.
More than 250 participants attended the program, including prominent figures from the industry. The awards aimed to promote and encourage Nepali artists by providing a platform to showcase their talents. The event also sought to honor both emerging and established figures in music and film, highlighting the rich cultural and creative landscape of Nepal.
During the event,"The Best Music Composers Award was given to B.P Wagle"for"pakkai banney chaa". Manoj Chhetri (fashion model) and Pushpa Modan (singer) performed "Timro Saath Hunu." The best male model award was given to Navin Kumar Poudel for "Katyaayi Ki," while the best female model was awarded to Nitu Poudel for "Sidi Maara." Sajog Sajan won the best lyricist award for "Chhulbul." In the children’s category, Sushil Rai and his team won an award for their performance in the song "Kina Dukha Mude."
The best female model (for a local genre) was awarded to Asha Shrestha for "Birseko Bhae," and Satyaraj Chaulagain won best music video director for "Chahanchu 1." Best music video cinematography went to Rahul Rai for "Kalimori," while Rabindra Baral won a jury award for "Chhati Chirera." The best music video editor went to Rakesh Dahal for "Chahanchu 3," and the best makeup artist was awarded to Rakesh Ranpal for his work in "Beni Bajaarma."
In the female folk singer category, Rizana Lamsal won for "Pardeshi Bhuliyo," and Priti Simal won for "Hami Maya Namrasau." The best male folk singer (local category) was awarded to Sumit Nath Thapa for his song "Dhoka Khau." The best songwriter for a national song was Bibi Baral for "Pankha Banera." The best emerging male singer was Aar Ke for "Timro Saath Huda." The best emerging female model award went to Boldita Dhami for "Aama T," and Prakash Mishra won best film master for his movie "Piritiko Rang."
In the music video model category (couples), Jitendra Tamrakar and Maitika Rajopadhyaya won for "Aansu Diera." Sarita Bharti also received an award for her emotional performance in the music video "Jiskeko Makkar." Likewise, in the movie sector:

- Best Film Director: Khillalbahadur Guru for "Man"
- Best Actress: Sushma Pant for "Bahara"
- Best Cinematographer: Sushan Prajapati for "Lava"

- Best Editor: Mitra Guru for "Man"
- Best Actor: Saugat Mall for "Man"
- Best National Film: Gaonbirinse for "Bresi"
- Best Television Director: Divakar Bhattarai for "Saptako Kakha"
- Best Notemaking Art Director: Sushant Karajit
The event successfully concluded with the awarding of the jury prize, which was presented by Sujan Guru, for best sound mixing and cultural contributions.
